According to report of XINHUA news Harvard University researchers have developed a new technology,just with a light modulation voltage,the transparency of the window glass can be quickly changed.

This new type of adjustable window glass is a layer of glass or plastic material,Both sides covered with a transparent,soft ELASTOMER ELASTOMER,And the silver NANOWIRES were sprayed on them ELASTOMER. Silver NANOWIRES coating scale is very small,Not scattering the light on it,However,When an external voltage is applied,the situation is changed.

Under the action of external voltage voltage,On both sides of the silver NANOWIRES  get the energy to move towards each other,And the deformation of the elastic body is caused by extrusion. Due to the uneven distribution on the surface of the silver NANOWIRES,so the ELASTOMER also shows uneven deformation. This leads to a rough surface,scattered light,the glass will become blurred.

The researchers said,the key point is that the process change takes place in less than a second time. In addition,they also found that the roughness on the surface of the ELASTOMER is associated with applied voltage. The higher the voltage,the surface becomes more coarse,glass will be blurred.

Harvard study director David Clarke said,they research and development of this new process is essentially a physical change,so The whole process is more simple,the cost is lower.
